Ten ideas about ideas
If after reading the welcome post you still don’t understand what I want from you – I don’t blame you. It was a bit obscure. I think what describes best my motivation behind starting a blog about my ideas (instead of keeping them to my self) is this blog post by Doc Searl. He precisely explains why it’s better sharing ideas instead of keeping ideas.
What I actually want is -
- Creating a “virtual mastermind” (you can read more about mastermind here).
- Seeing the ideas I will post become into reality by some talented developers out there in the big universe.
I hope to reach this two goals with this blog your help.
So stay tuned – it’s going to be fun,
Arik
What makes a winning Web 2.0 website?
I forget to mention on the welcome post, that I will also use this blog to post my thoughts about Web 2.0…
Have you ever wondered what makes this Web 2.0 web sites so great? What make them different from the old web sites? If you look closley, and search for similrities among them (and you can take Flickr, Digg, Del.ico.us, Technorati and more as an example) you might find things like:
- Tags
- RSS
- Comments
- API
- Community
This five technologies/concepts drive the Web 2.0 to success. Are they?
I believe not. They do bring new concepts to the Web, and changed our web-usage experience, but it doesn’t explain why some Web2.0 websites are just GREAT and others are just “okay”. It doesn’t explain why some being ranked as no.1 in their field and other standing behind them.
Obvious ideas?
From time to time I’ve an idea to a new software, website, mashup or something between them. I call this ideas “obvious ideas” – it’s something so obvious , that you don’t understand how no one taught of it before you. Because I’m extremely busy (1 day job, 2 startups I’m involved in, 2 blogs and a girlfriend), most of the ideas I just write on a sticky note and add it to my collection of good-unused ideas.
Well – no more! I decided to share the world (you) with this ideas, in a hope that one of you will pick it up, and do something with it.
